Gift Acceptance Policy

Acceptance of any contribution, gift, or grant is at the discretion of Guadua Bamboo SAS. Guadua Bamboo SAS will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the reforestation and bamboo development projects at Guadua Bamboo.

No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.

Guadua Bamboo SAS will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.

Guadua Bamboo SAS will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of Guadua Bamboo SAS. Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must bereviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations or liabilities they may pose for Guadua Bamboo SAS.

Guadua Bamboo SAS will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the company as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by Guadua Bamboo SAS.

Guadua Bamboo SAS will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, Guadua Bamboo SAS will restrict information about the donor to only those team members with a direct need to know.

Guadua Bamboo SAS will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders’ fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to Guadua Bamboo SAS, except for recognized partners enrolled in our official affiliate program.

Terms of Sponsorship and Adoption

By participating in any of our support programs—including but not limited to sponsorship of Guadua seedlings, individual or corporate adoption of bamboo specimens, and general support for our bamboo species collection—you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. Nature of Support: All contributions are charitable gifts intended to support the propagation, research, maintenance, and reforestation efforts at Hacienda Guadua Bamboo in Dagua. Your support does not confer legal ownership, harvest rights, or any property interest in the specific plants or the land.
  2. Recognition: As a token of our appreciation, Guadua Bamboo SAS may list your name or company name on our public registry for the specific program you have supported. You may choose to remain anonymous by selecting the “anonymous” option during checkout. Guadua Bamboo SAS reserves the right to review and approve all names for public display to ensure they align with our professional standards.
  3. Governance: All aspects of the farm operations, including the care, research, and management of the bamboo collection, remain under the exclusive direction and control of Guadua Bamboo SAS.
  4. Tax and Financial Guidance: Guadua Bamboo SAS does not provide tax or financial advice. We encourage all sponsors and donors to consult with their own professional advisers regarding the tax treatment of their contributions.
  5. Policy Acceptance: All contributions are subject to the Guadua Bamboo SAS Gift Acceptance Policy outlined above.
