From Raw Bamboo Pole to Precision Slat

At our facility in Colombia, Guadua Bamboo® slat production is more than just processing—it’s a carefully controlled, large-scale operation designed to meet the demands of specific engineered bamboo applications.

Each slat begins its journey as a mature Guadua pole, selected for strength and uniformity. After harvesting, the culms are cut, split, and milled into standardized slats. These are then treated to prevent pests and fungal decay, ensuring long-term structural integrity.

Once treated, the slats are laid out to dry—either under roof, in open air, or in dedicated covered drying tunnels. This controlled drying process is key to minimizing warping and cracking, making them suitable for laminated beams.

From Colombia to the world—our slats are built to perform, sustainably and reliably.
