Laying the Groundwork for Something BIG at Hacienda Guadua Bamboo
Something BIG is rising at Hacienda Guadua Bamboo — and it all starts with a strong foundation. 🪨🌿
This week, we completed the base platform for a brand-new bamboo structure, and as you can see, it’s no small task. The concrete slab sits firmly on a retaining wall made from locally sourced river stones, giving the structure not only strength and stability, but a beautiful connection to the land it rises from.
Each concrete pedestal you see will soon hold massive bamboo columns — sustainably grown, selected, and treated right here at Guadua Bamboo in Colombia. It’s a satisfying milestone, and one we’ve been planning for months.
We’re especially proud that the entire process — from earthworks and stonework to formwork and pour — has been handled by our in-house team. It’s always an incredible feeling to see a vision take shape, especially when it’s built with your own hands.
Any guesses what it will be⁉️ Let’s just say this is going to be a space where our bamboo dreams grow even bigger.
