Guadua Bamboo Poles Shipped to Belgium for Europe’s Largest Bamboo Tower
A historic shipment leaves our factory this week: the third and final container of graded Guadua Bamboo® poles is on its way to Belgium 🇧🇪 for the construction of Europe’s largest bamboo tower at the renowned Planckendael ZOO.
In total, our team has produced and graded 1,710 poles, each with a 12–14 cm diameter and 6 meters in length. Together, these poles represent over 10 kilometers of Colombian Guadua Bamboo®, a remarkable volume of natural material that will soon take shape as a groundbreaking architectural landmark.
Every pole was hand-picked and tested to meet the strict requirements of strength, durability, and aesthetic quality demanded by a project of this scale. For Europe’s largest bamboo tower, only the best is good enough.
This achievement is more than just an export, it is a proud moment for our company. Seeing our Guadua play a central role in such a visionary, sustainable project highlights its growing recognition as a world-class building material.
From Colombia’s fields to Europe’s skylines, Guadua Bamboo® is proving that nature and architecture can come together to create something truly monumental. 🌱
